Slowly Changing Dimension Types

Slowly Changing Dimension Type (SCD):

There are 3 types of Slowly Changing Dimension (SCD) are there:

1. Slowly Changing Dimension 1 (SCD type 1): This type of dimension is used to maintain current history data. Which mean only newly created and recently modified data.

2. Slowly Changing Dimension 2 (SCD type 2): This type of dimension is used to maintain full/complete history data. Which mean it will having previous history records along with recently modified records as another row(entry) in the same table and newly created records.

3 Slowly Changing Dimension 3 (SCD type 3): This type of dimension is used to maintain currently changed records with previous history in the same row. And newly created records.
